About Us
Hi, I’m Toni.
I started QiMycology while I was at university in Beijing, trying to stay focused during classes.
I wasn’t looking for anything extreme — just something natural that actually felt worth paying attention to. Living in Beijing, that led me towards traditional Chinese medicine, and eventually to Lion’s Mane.
That curiosity turned into something deeper. I started learning how these ingredients are traditionally used — not as quick fixes, but as part of a wider system.
At one point, I stopped taking everything completely, just to see if it was real or if I’d imagined it. A few weeks later, I started again. The difference was obvious.
That was the point where it shifted from interest to something I wanted to understand properly.
QiMycology came from that process.

What We’re Doing
Most supplements are either overpromised or underdosed.
You’ll see big claims, long ingredient lists, and very little clarity around what’s actually inside or whether the doses make sense.
We’re trying to do something simpler.
QiMycology is built around a small number of ingredients, used at levels that are actually worth taking, and combined in a way that fits into daily life.
Not as a quick fix — but as something consistent.

How We Think About It
These ingredients aren’t new.
They’ve been used for a long time, particularly within traditional Chinese medicine, but often without much explanation in a modern context.
Instead of trying to reinvent that, the goal here is to translate it into something practical.
Something you can understand, use daily, and decide for yourself whether it’s worth continuing.
What This Is (And Isn’t)
This isn’t a replacement for medical care.
If something feels wrong, it’s always better to speak to a doctor.
And it’s not designed to feel dramatic or instant.
The intention is simple:
support that fits into your day, without needing to overthink it.
That’s what QiMycology is built around.

Functional mushrooms and adaptogens can feel confusing at first. This space is designed to make things simple.
Here you’ll find clear, practical guides explaining how adaptogens work, what functional mushrooms are, and how to choose the right product for your needs.
Outcome first, ingredients second
Every formula starts with a question:
What kind of support is this meant to offer?
Focus during the day?
Calm in the evening?
Better resilience over time?
Only once that outcome is clear do we decide which mushrooms and herbs belong together (and which don’t!!)
Our approach is inspired by principles from Traditional Chinese Medicine, where ingredients are chosen based on how they work together. This doesn’t mean copying ancient formulas or using unfamiliar language.
It means respecting balance, synergy, and timing, and translating those ideas into products that fit modern routines.
Fewer ingredients, chosen carefully
We intentionally keep our formulas focused.
Each ingredient must earn its place by:
Having a clear role in the formula
Complementing the other ingredients
Being suitable for regular, long-term use
This helps avoid unnecessary complexity and makes it easier to understand what you’re taking and why.
Our formulas aren’t designed for instant or dramatic effects.
They’re designed to be:
Used consistently
Integrated into daily routines
Supportive rather than stimulating or sedating
Subtle changes over time are the goal.
Transparency without over-promising
We aim to be clear about:
What our formulas are designed to support
How they’re typically used
What they are not intended to do
As research evolves and our understanding deepens, our formulations may evolve too. What doesn’t change is our commitment to thoughtful design, ingredient quality and creating products we’d feel comfortable using ourselves
